Superb Golfing Facilities
“Thirteenth Beach is unique in its two courses – The already famous Beach Course in the dunes has a strong and wonderful links character, whilst the Creek course has a feel of the very best of Melbourne’s sand belt through its gently rolling terrain and broadly separated fairways. There is a big choice to make here – which course will I play?” - Tony Cashmore
"The whole development at Thirteenth Beach is nothing short of outstanding..." - Sir Nick Faldo
Featured in Golf Australia Magazine 2017, Australia's Top 100 Public Access Courses - The Beach Course ranked #8 and The Creek Course ranked #24
The Beach Course
The Beach Course designed by Tony Cashmore, is a natural links style course featuring beautifully manicured fairways, greens and bunkers and a strategic design that offers a wonderful test of any golfer’s ability. The course is dry all year round, cutting through the abundant sand dunes and winding around Murtnagurt Lagoon with 3km ocean frontage.
Golf Australia Magazine Beach Course Commentry: “This gem of a course sits on fantastic sweeping golf terrain on the Bellarine Peninsula near Geelong and has quite rightly pushed into our top 5. For golfers who haven’t been to Thirteenth Beach lately, a couple of minor tweaks have strengthened the design. Most notable is a new tee and new fairway bunkers at the par-5 4th hole, a change that accentuates the angle of the fairway and places the tee nearer to the large lagoon flanking the left side. The Beach Course (along with the adjoining Creek Course) will at long last come into the professional spotlight when the club concurrently hosts the men’s and women’s Victorian Opens in February.”
The Creek Course
The Creek Course designed by Sir Nick Faldo in conjunction with Tony Cashmore, abounds with gentle contours, large, multi levelled greens and a routing that meanders its way through scattered pine trees and across open parkland.
Golf Australia Magazine Creek Course Commentary: “The second of the Thirteenth Beach courses is slowly gaining much-deserved respect as it emerges from the imposing shadow cast by the older and more superior Beach Course. Yet the Creek is an excellent partner to its much vaunted sibling.”
